As card issuers try to save money useful travel insurance perks are being cut from even the best rewards credit cards.

Price protection was eliminated as one of the Chase credit card benefits as of Aug. 26, 2018. If this is a benefit you’re interested in, some Citi credit cards still offer limited price protection. Chase credit card benefits extend manufacturer’s warranties of three years or less by one year on many of their cards. Chase’s extended warranty protection covers a maximum of up to $10,000 per claim and $50,000 per account. Some excluded products include boats, automobiles, and other motorized vehicles, computer software, pre-owned items, and items purchased for resale or professional use.
