What is the common insurance required for events?
The most common type of event insurance is general liability, which covers lawsuits related to bodily injury or property damage resulting from your event. Many policies also include host liquor liability coverage, which protects you if a guest is overserved and causes injury or damage.
Typically, you can only use third-party property coverage on properties that are not owned by you or your business. The liability policies protect you when you host parties and events where alcohol is served. There is coverage whether you give the alcohol away or charge for it.
